Graduation Alliance Acquires Contracts, Assets from ConnectEDU

Jun 26, 2014

THE FIRESALE CONTINUES: Graduation Alliance, a Salt Lake City, UT-based company that provides intervention services for at-risk students in over 80 U.S. districts, has acquired ConnectEDU's Connect! college and career planning portal, which has been used by over 20 million students, along with Epsilen, a PD and learning management system. (ConnectEDU acquired Epsilen in November 2012). In addition, Graduation Alliance will take over ConnectEDU's existing contracts with these customers. According to the release, Graduation Alliance is in process of notifying them and will offer students the opportunity to opt out of sharing their data. Several "key team members" from these product lines will also be joining Graduation Alliance.

This is ConnectEDU's second deal since filing for bankruptcy in April; it sold Academic Management Systems in May. New Market Education Partners, an investor in both companies, played a key role in the deal with Graduation Alliance.
