THE HUB OF IT ALL: MOOC-provider Coursera announced today its addition of eight new "Learning Hub" partners, including the New York Public Library and universities in Canada, Italy, South Africa, and Ukraine. Coursera launched the Learning Hubs program as a way to provide full internet access and a physical space to individuals across the globe to access and use Coursera courses. The list of new partners includes:
- Azusa Pacific University - Pietermaritzburg, South Africa
- Bionic Hill - Kyiv, Ukraine
- Brainstation - Toronto, Canada
- Dominican University of California - California, USA
- Guokr - Beijing, China
- Marconi University - Rome, Italy
- New York Public Library - New York, USA
- Slim Foundation - Mexico
Additionally, Coursera also announced the release of its Global Translator Community, a collection of volunteers and partner organizations who will work to translate the platform's course offerings.
