Apr 10, 2014

FLATIRON SCHOOL: New York City-based Flatiron School raised $5.5 million in a debut round led by CRV and Matrix Partners with Box Group (a boutique angel fund managed by David Tisch and Adam Rothenberg). The school, which was started in September 2012, offers 12-week long, full-time programs to "designed to turn you into a web developer." Tuition is $12K. The group has plenty of spunk; the disclosure on the bottom of the website notes: "ALL YOUR RIGHTS ARE BELONG TO US." Lots of details on TechCrunch.
