PLEY: $6.75 million to San Jose, CA-based Pley, which claims to be a "Netflix for Legos," reports VentureBeat. The investment was led by Allegro Venture Partners and included Floodgate, Correlation Ventures, Maven Ventures, and Western Technology Investments. Why buy when you can rent? Pley was started last year and has shipped out 75,000 Lego sets. Its founder promises that they are "sanitized to an FDA-approved level." (Maybe they should ship out baby bottles, too?) Monthly subscriptions are available ($15, $25 and $39). And what about that oh, so crucial missing piece? Pley says it won't charge you for up to 15 missing parts. No word about whether Pley will send a vacuum to your house if you lose more parts in the sofa cushions.
