India-based iProf Raises $9 million to Deliver Digital Curriculum

iPROF: $9 million to New Delhi, India-based iProf Learning Solutions in a Series B round led by Daily Mail Group Information, along with existing investors IDG Ventures India and Norwest Venture Partners. The bumps the company's total funding to $15 million. Founded in 2010, iProf delivers digital content aligned to India's curriculum standards via tablets and mobile devices. MediaNama reports iProf will use the funds to market a new learning management platform, SchoolEra, which has features like assessments, gradebooks and class monitoring tools, along with content supplied by McGraw-Hill. Half a million students are currently using the platform in India and Mauritius.
