KING OF THE HILL: McGraw-Hill Education announced David Levin will take over as CEO after Lloyd "Buzz" Waterhouse, who held the spot since June 2012, announced plans to retire in August. Levin had been at CEO at United Business Media, a multinational events and marketing group, since 2005. The Financial Times reports that Levin oversaw over 100 acquisitions--and a dozen "disposals"--during his tenure there. He'll continue wheeling and dealing at McGraw-Hill, which recently has acquired companies like Key Curriculum and ALEKS. This appointment comes just over a year after McGraw-Hill Education was purchased by Apollo Global Management in a $2.5 billion deal.
