Koru $4.35M to Help Grads Find Jobs

Dec 13, 2013

KORU: $4.35 million to Seattle, WA-based Koru in a Series A round led by Maveron, with Battery Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and First Round Capital also participating. Maveron Partner, Clayon Lewis, will join Koru's board. The startup aims to match college students with experiential learning opportunities at companies to help them be job-ready by graduation. Koru CEO Kristen Hamilton told Geekwire that many graduates "are entering the job market without the context, specific skills and real world experience they need to get hired." A bootcamp with online daily deals retailer, Zulily, will run from January 6-15, 2014.
