Brazilian Startup Veduca Adds Another $500K to Bolster Online Learning Platform

VEDUCA: R$1.1 million (approximately US $500K) to Brazilian startup Veduca from Bolt Ventures, Macmillan Digital Education and 500 startups, all of which also participated in an earlier $750K seed round, reports Kirsten Winkler at EdCetera. Founded in 2011, Veduca offers over 5,700 video lessons (in Portuguese) from 17 leading U.S. and Brazilian universities, and recently launched an online, open MBA program in Engineering and Innovation that will be certified by the Ministry of Education. The startup boasts over 156,000 registered users.
