LA Unified to Delay iPad Rollout

BRING IT BACK: Those familiar with the recent iPad "hacking" debacle in LA, won't be surprised to hear that the mega school district with over 650,000 students is delaying plans to roll out the tablets. Full implementation was originally scheduled for December 2014. But Superintendent John Deasy is calling to push it back to Fall 2015, hoping that the extra eight months will give the district the chance to create more robust policies around security, liability for lost or broken iPads, and student ability to use devices at home. Further details in this brief from the LA Times.
