APP-O-MANIA: Platforms such as AppoLearning began emerging to create some organization amongst the sea of thousands of apps. Now Apple has (finally) realized that fishing through the mess of educational apps can be downright daunting. The result is Apple’s “Apps for Teachers” section on the iPad store. Apps here are grouped by characteristics such as age group and use (such as “productivity” or “reference”). But does the organization really make searching for what teachers need much easier? The jury’s still out.
