ClassDojo Chops Down Classroom Walls (like a ninja)

Aug 8, 2013

LIKE A NINJA: ClassDojo is announcing a new feature today that lets teachers in the same school collaborate around a class of students such that multiple teachers can track the same behavior traits, and the student data from all classes can be made available to other teachers or administrators with access. Before today, each teacher would have to create his or her own class, and student data remained siloed in each teacher's account. CEO Sam Chaudhary told EdSurge this has been the most requested feature among teacher-users.

The feature aims to help teachers support building specific character strengths in their students, such as working together and taking risks. The update makes ClassDojo an even closer competitor with Kickboard, a data-management tool designed for school-wide character-development and academic tracking. When it comes to helping students grow their character muscles, the more competition the better, in our eyes.
