Jul 16, 2013

90210'S NEWEST MEMBERS: Most people probably recognize Newell Rubbermaid for Sharpie pens and frying pans. But--until this week--it also owned a couple of education technology brands as well. On Monday, Newell Rubbermaid announced the sale of Mimio, which makes a variety of classroom hardware like whiteboards and clickers, and Headsprout, developer of literacy and early learning software, to Skyview Capital, LLC, a private equity firm based in Beverly Hills, CA. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. More information from THE Journal.
