BrightBytes Raises $2.5M Series A to Crunch School Data

Jul 12, 2013

BRIGHTBYTES: $2.5 million to San Francisco-based BrightBytes in Series A round led by Rethink Education, reports PandoDaily. This comes just five months after it raised a $750K seed round in February. The company, currently offers a platform, "Clarity for Schools," that crunches data to measure the effectiveness of tech tools and professional development programs in improving student outcomes. The platform then creates a customized, visual report for each school with recommendations and suggested implementation plans. Currently "thousands" of U.S. schools are using it, and the company has its eyes on overseas schools in places like China and Australia.
