HATCHING A KAPLAN: We first reported on the Kaplan Edtech Accelerator in February as they were partnering with TechStars. The organization is now ready to announce its inaugural cohort of 10 startups which will include: Degreed, Flinja, MentorMob, Modern Guild, PanOpen, Playpower Labs, Ranku, Uvize, Verificient Technologies, and Whipsmart. The eclectic group ranges from a credentialing service to a platform to ranking and marketing online, non-profit degree programs. The companies will relocate to New York City for a three month program that will focus on mentoring, business development, and culminates in a demo day in September.
