InternMatch Announces $4M Series A to Connect Companies and Students

Jun 11, 2013

INTERNMATCH: $4 million to San Francisco, CA-based InternMatch in Series A round led by ARTIS Ventures and Subtraction Capital. The company has now raised over $6 million. Founded in 2009, the company offers a platform that matches companies with prospective interns (mostly college students and recent graduates). TechCrunch reports that the platform handles over 150,000 applications per month. In May, the company released its own "State of the Internship 2013" report on trends for how students score internships. For instance, only 3.8% said career fairs were the most helpful resource, while companies "are beginning to invest in activities like hack-a-thons, online hangouts, and using tools like Google Adwords and Search Engine Optimization."
