He argues that educators must address all three areas of focus equally for a quality classroom experience. “They go into teaching because of relationship and curiosity,” Bergmann says of teachers. But the current over-testing culture has many teachers wondering what they have to offer. It will be interesting to watch how edtech companies pivot once they’ve exhausted ways to reframe, reuse, and remix content. Will edtech transform classroom relationships and student curiosity as well? Or will teachers once again become more reliable than standards and data points?
