Khan Academy Gets $2.2M Grant for Common Core-Aligned Content

May 27, 2013

KHAN ACADEMY: $2.2 million in a two-year grant to the Mountain View, CA-based non-profit from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. According to the release, the funds will support the development of a "comprehensive set of online content and tools that are aligned with the grade 4-12 Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Mathematics." With the site already packed with hundreds of math videos, covering basic arithmetic to calculus, we're curious to see how these new "diagnostic tools and expanded question offerings" might better identify students' knowledge gaps.
