LEARNING CATALYTICS: Acquired by Pearson for an undisclosed sum, the cloud-based system allows educators to create interactive questions and students to answer them with a laptop or mobile device. Learning Catalytics LLC will remain in the Boston area and be a "bolt-on" to Pearson's current learning technology platforms. Co-founders and Harvard professors Eric Mazur and Gary King will continue to consult for Pearson and the third co-founder, Brian Lukoff, will join Pearson in continuing Learning Catalytics' work.
