Remind Releases Two-Way Messaging Feature

Remind Releases Two-Way Messaging Feature

Mar 3, 2015

TEXTING BACK: Remind’s 23 million registered users will soon be able to have two-way conversations within the app.

After noticing increased engagement from the release of the Stamps feature in August, the Remind team wanted to expand tools for conversations between teachers, students and parents. With the new “Chat” feature, which users can request early access to on the Remind site before a full rollout in April, teachers can flip back and forth between using Remind to send one-way reminders or announcements, or as a two-way communication tool.

Teachers can also set “Office Hours,” announcing to students and parents which times are best to reach them. With the updates, all users will be able to access full Chat and Announcement histories, and to flag inappropriate or fraudulent users.
