CampusQuad Raises $5M to Boost College Student Engagement

Feb 2, 2015

CAMPUSQUAD: $5 million to San Carlos, CA-based CampusQuad in a Series A round led by ICG Ventures. Founded in 2012, the company offers a mobile app to help increase college retention, graduation rates and student engagement in their campus community.

Students can easily follow campus announcements, food vendors, club events, and local deals, while universities can track the effectiveness of their communications outreach.

The app has been used in universities like Duke, Georgetown and Stanford. CEO and founder, Frances Cairn shared earlier with EdSurge ten insights learned about grabbing students' attention with mobile technology.
