MassiveU Amasses $1M for 'Social Learning PLAAS'

MASSIVEU: $1.08 million to Naples, FL-based MassiveU in seed funding led by Tamiami Angel Fund, with undisclosed angel investors also participating. Founded in 2012, MassiveU offers a "project-based, social learning Platform-As-A-Service (PLAAS) that delivers that delivers learning content via mobile apps. (It used bill itself as a "mobile MOOC.") More details and fun buzzwords here. Company president, John Gamba, was a co-founder of PACE (Partnership for Academic and Community Excellence), a school-home communication tool that was eventually acquired by Blackboard for $182 million.
