Enterprise Sales Representative - EdTech

Scrible - Remote - Full time

Job Title: Ed Tech Enterprise Sales Representative

Location: Remote (with travel to events as needed)

About Us: Scrible is the leading platform for student research and writing, providing schools and educators with the tools to help students organize their research, write with clarity, and produce high-quality work. Our mission is to transform how students approach complex academic tasks and equip them with skills for college and career success. As we scale, we are looking for a results-driven and autonomous Enterprise Sales Representative with experience in the ed-tech industry to help us expand our reach and impact.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced salesperson who can quickly take ownership of the sales process, from lead management to deal closure. This is a unique opportunity to be the first sales hire at our company, playing a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: While not necessary to start, generate new leads to expand the sales funnel.
  • Close Deals: Effectively manage and close enterprise sales with academic institutions/agencies using leads provided by the company.
  • Autonomous Execution: Learn the product quickly, demo it, conduct sales presentations, and answer customer questions confidently.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Understand and optimize the sales funnel, independently driving prospects through the sales pipeline. Manage sales opportunities in the CRM, capturing deals, executing email sequences, running reports, etc.
  • EdTech Expertise: Leverage your understanding of the ed-tech space — its language, customer concerns, budget cycles and procurement processes — to build trust and close deals.
  • Representation: Represent the company autonomously at conferences and events, confidently acting as a face of our brand.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure customers are successful with post-sale implementation and manage upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Work closely with the Product team to ensure the product roadmap meets market needs.

Must-Haves:

  • Proven ability to close enterprise sales deals in the ed-tech space.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage all stages of the sales process.
  • Experience in the ed-tech industry, with a clear understanding of its unique dynamics.
  • Experience carrying a sales quota and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for events and meetings.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience as an educator (e.g., teacher, librarian, tech director).
  • Deep network within the education sector that can accelerate sales efforts.

Why Join Us?

  • Be a foundational member of our sales team and shape the company's sales strategy.
  • Work with a passionate and collaborative team driving meaningful change in education.
  • Enjoy a flexible work environment with opportunities to travel and engage directly with customers and stakeholders.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary and commission structure.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why you’re the ideal candidate for this role. In your cover letter or email, please indicate where you found out about this job opportunity. Applications can be submitted by email to jobs@scrible.com.
