About The Role

A key member of the Executive Support team, the Director of Organizational Effectiveness will play a critical role in supporting Cambiar Education’s CEO and leadership team as a central organizer, problem solver, and systems builder.

As Director of Organizational Effectiveness, you’ll be tasked with leading all people operations efforts, partnering closely with cross-functional teams as a coach and mentor, working to nurture an inclusive, collaborative, and outcomes-oriented culture through performance management, feedback, and recognition mechanisms to celebrate wins. You’ll be the key point person on all employee, and contractor relations, overseeing, designing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding process that enables new hires to integrate swiftly.

You’ll also help design and manage Cambiar’s knowledge sharing system, implement feedback loops across the business, and will be responsible for managing organizational and operational processes. A natural project manager, you’ll help drive stakeholder alignment ensuring that cross-functional programs are aligned with expectations, and that functional leads (and their teams) are accountable. You’ll secure respect across a strong, outcomes-focused leadership team with your extraordinary capacity for detail, and your ability to turn ideas into concrete operational practices.

With a strong executive presence and analytical mindset, you’ll drive impact in this role with your exceptional strategic thinking, and a capacity to absorb information and ideas; transfiguring them into efficient frameworks.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO on internal strategy, providing insights and recommendations to optimize organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • You’ll manage the long-view, prepare for, and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, including our our weekly Leadership Team meetings, ensuring we have thoughtful agendas, participants are prepped, we use our time effectively, and we emerge with deeper clarity on organizational priorities, documented decisions, and clear next steps.
  • Take the lead on project managing people operations workflows and efforts
  • Identify and implement internal communication program that fosters collaboration, cohesion, and performance excellence across the business.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that foster inclusivity, continuous improvement, and accountability across the organization.
  • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive onboarding processes to swiftly integrate new hires into ongoing projects, enabling learning through practical application.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving employment laws and regulations, refining policies and procedures tailored to the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a startup.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of organizational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Develop and implement effective systems and processes to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and promote cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead, and own the development and implementation of implementation strategy stretching across talent management, professional development, and organizational planning.
  • Implement and nurture feedback loops across the organization; providing guidance and support to senior leaders in their day-to-day responsibilities by offering insights, feedback and coaching.
  • Actively manage the grant management database working closely with the CEO regarding.
  • Partner with senior leaders and provide counsel to advance key initiatives. You’ll develop and build relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with CEO and other leaders on special projects.

This Job is For You If

  • You have 5+ years relevant experience related to maintaining operational excellence in a business or in a leadership capacity. Preferably you’ve worked in the education, innovation and/or consulting sectors.
  • You've lead recruiting efforts in organizations that have scaled from 20 to 200+ employees
  • You identify as a systems thinker/builder with a proven track record of designing and implementing operational frameworks and systems for growing, outcomes-driven organizations.
  • You identify as a creative and inclusive problem solver with a roll-up-the-sleeves approach. Operating in entrepreneurial environments comes naturally to you.
  • You naturally show up as an influential leader who can easily establish rapport and credibility. You know how to motivate teams, empower folks to achieve desired outcomes, and can navigate the business towards achieving its goals.
  • You possess a strong executive presence with unparalleled communication skills and technique.
  • You have unquestionable character and absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • You are known for being highly organized with an exceptional attention to detail matched with strong initiative.
  • You’re comfortable working independently in a rigorous organizational cadence; willing to be flexible, adapting to changes with ease.

What You’ll Get:

  • Salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per year based on experience
