Thomas Gauthier is a higher education leader and professor of educational leadership and higher education. His research focuses on community college, career, technical, workforce education, teaching and learning and the purpose of higher education in society. His latest research study, "A Survey of Faculty Perceptions of Community College Career and Technical Education" revealed three principal components: soft skills, authentic learning environments and holistic education.
