Tammy Wincup is COO of EverFi.

Brief Biography

As COO, Tammy oversees EverFi’s 500 team members across the U.S. and Canada, the development of EverFi’s digital learning technology platform, the implementation of the technology in over 20,000 K-12 schools and 1700 college campuses, and supporting the over 4,300 customers that fund the digital learning in schools. Founded in 2008, EverFi is a venture-backed company with investments from The Rise Fund, TPG Growth, Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos, Twitter Founder Evan Williams, and Google Chairman Eric Schmidt.

Tammy’s career has always been at the intersection of technology, workforce development, and education. Tammy worked in South Africa and Egypt leading education and workforce development projects for Price Waterhouse’s International Strategy Group. She returned to the United States to run customer services for a technology start-up in San Francisco, and at Diamond Technology Partners, a public company focused on helping Fortune 500 companies innovate with technology. After September 11th, 2001, Tammy was appointed to the U.S. Department of State, where she helped developed and managed a $300 million fund focused on economic and education foreign assistance to the Middle East. In 2006, she refocused on education technology in the U.S. working with leading for-profit education companies and education organizations, including New Schools Venture Fund. Outside of EverFi, the focus of Tammy’s community work centers on the critically important issues of education equity and girls empowerment. As a part of this work, Tammy was selected as a Pahara – Aspen Institute Education Fellow, a competitive program reserved for leaders who have demonstrated commitment and results in education. She is also a long-serving Trustee at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. Tammy earned her Masters of Public Policy in International Economic Policy from the University of Maryland and her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
