Dr. Matthew Friedman is an accomplished educator, visionary leader and nationally recognized innovator with over 25 years of experience in public education. As Superintendent of Schools in the Quakertown Community School District, north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he has spent nearly two decades in transformative leadership roles, including Director of Curriculum, Chief Academic Officer, and Assistant Superintendent.
In addition to being a Google/GSV Education Innovation Fellow, Dr. Friedman was recently named one of the District Administrator's Top 100 Influential Leaders in education and elected to the prestigious AASA Board of Governors, reflecting his impact on the future of K-12 leadership across the country. He also brings a wealth of expertise in higher education, teaching future educators and administrators at multiple universities and mentoring doctoral candidates as a dissertation chair.
