Brief Biography

Mary Lynn Riggs is currently the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in Franklin West Supervisory Union in northern Vermont. Mary Lynn serves on the Board of Directors for Champlain Valley Educator Development Center and chairs the Champlain Valley Curriculum Collaborative. She recently sat on Vermont's Educational Quality Standards Commission and is Past-President of Franklin-Grand Isle United Way She is involved in developing virtual and face-to-face international collaboration and cross cultural competence for rural youth through Green Across the Pacific, Project 25 and IVECA.

Mary Lynn was a high school teacher and served as an elementary principal for 22 years before she began working in curriculum development and professional learning. She received her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Vermont. She lives with her family on a farm in Fletcher, Vermont and loves to ski and garden with a handful of grandchildren.
