The Los Angeles Unified School District is the second largest public school district in the U.S. It serves more than 671,000 students grades K-12 and an additional adult population, bringing the total enrollment in the district to about 1.1 million.

The Los Angeles Unified district includes close to 70,000 charter schools and serves an extended population close to 1.1 million.
