KIPP Bay Area

Short for 'Knowledge is Power Program', these KIPP schools are located in the San Francisco Bay area.

KIPP Bay Area Schools (KBAS) is made up of five middle schools, three high schools and a regional support office. In 2013–2014, the schools serve approximately 2,800 students in tuition-free, college-preparatory schools  located in the neighborhoods of Bayview Hunters Point, Potrero Hill, and Western Addition in San Francisco, East San Jose, San Lorenzo, and West Oakland.

As of June 2014, 85% of their alumni have matriculated to college. Over 95% are students of color.
