Stanford hosts weekly classes for Education's Digital Future

Oct 1, 2012

IN SESSION: Another "open" class has begun, but this time we're not talking about yet another MOOC. Throughout the 2012-2013 year, Stanford's School of Education is offering "Educ 403x: Education's Digital Future" open to the general public, every Tuesday at 5:15pm. The first session last week reportedly drew a motley crew of MBAs, post-docs, a Wired editor, and a visiting educator from Finland, in addition to students. Next week's course will feature Adrian Sannier, Senior VP for Product at Pearson, who will lead discussion on "Rock star teachers." (Are you going? Let us know what it's like!) A future session on the evolution of digital curricula (11/6) will include Creative Commons CEO Catherine Casserly, the Department of Ed's Steve Midgley, Ednovo CEO Prasad Ram, and Learn Capital's Tom Vander Ark.
