Sep 18, 2012

BRAINLY: $500K to Cracow, Poland-based Brainly from Point Nine Capital and local angels, according to TechCrunch. The startup provides an international social learning network along the lines of a Q&A platform where users seek and offer support on homework questions. Brainly's network is currently spread across six educational social websites, each targeting different regions in Russia, Western Europe, and Central/South America. All of them are in local languages (including Polish and Russian--which are the biggest networks--and also Turkish, French, German and Spanish).
