reading total recall

TOTAL RECALL: How much you remember from this newsletter may depend on the size of the screen you're reading it on, according to Web usability expert, Jakob Nielsen. He is only one of other scientists taking a stab at nagging questions over just how much we retain when reading on e-readers and screens versus the printed page. One interesting hypothesis: our brains have evolved to recall information from spatial context and physical location keys. That gives libraries and print pages an advantage over e-reader devices (at least until we rewire the next generation).
