QUORA: $50 million to Palto Alto, CA-based Quora in Series B round led by Peter Thiel, with Matrix Partners and Northbridge Venture Partners also participating. TechCrunch reports that Quora co-founder Adam D'Angelo chipped in $20 million out of his own wallet. Billed as a high-quality Q&A site, Quora is noted for delivering a robust ontology for content along with a vibrant and diverse community of active users.
