THE JAR IS OPEN: Time to see what the buzz is all about. LearningJar, one of the two winners in this year's SxSW LaunchEDU competition, has finally unveiled its beta for the public. A quick recap: the platform is currently designed around "roles" (let's say, web design) comprised of a series of skills (like typography). Users interested in learning skills are directed to lessons from LearningJar partners such as Lynda and Adobe, who offer their content at discounted rates (and stuff from Lynda is free!) Check it out and let ‘em know what you think. Last we heard, the team was very responsive to feedback, spending long nights to implement a non-Facebook dependent login functionality after a few grumbles.
