GEEKING OUT IN THE LIBRARY: $1.2 million to four museums and eight libraries to build "21st Century learning labs" to encourage teens to create digital content, inspired by the YOUMedia space in the Chicago Public Library. The project is co-funded by the MacArthur Foundation and the Institute for Museum and Library Services. A second round of grants to build a network of teen learning spaces will be available in Spring 2012. All the details here.
