EAB Buys YouVisit to Help Colleges Offer Virtual Tours

Dec 5, 2019

EAB, a Washington, D.C.-based provider of enrollment management, student success and operations strategy services to K-12 schools and colleges, has bought YouVisit, a New York-based provider of virtual tours for higher education institutions.

Founded in 2007, EAB made the acquisition to add virtual campus tours and other interactives to partner schools’ websites, according to a statement Wednesday. The company claims to serve more than 1,500 schools and colleges.

Founded in 2010, YouVisit offers a platform to create online campus tours for prospective college students through 360-degree photos, videos, and other media. The company claims to serve millions of students, parents and alumni and more than 600 institution partners.

EAB has been owned by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners since 2017, when EAB split off from research and consulting firm The Advisory Board. Vista bought EAB for about $1.55 billion. Vista also owns PowerSchool, a widely used K-12 student information system.
