Smartcare Boosts Childcare Center Tools with Preschool2me Purchase

Aug 21, 2019

SmartcareOS, a Las Vegas-based software provider for childcare centers, has purchased Preschool2me, a Round Rock, Texas-based tool that lets childcare centers update parents on their children’s progress. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Smartcare made the purchase to add more features to its existing platform—focused on attendance, billing and parent communication—and to add more childcare center customers to its portfolio, according to a statement. Founded in 2014, Smartcare works with over 2,000 centers.

Founded in 2013, Preschool2me’s tool allows centers to update parents with photos, prepare lesson plans and track attendance, among other features.

Public and private investment in early learners is on the rise. Companies in this space to receive funding in recent years include Tinkergarten, MyVillage and Winnie.
