
TIP OF THE HAT: WhiteHat Jr, the provider of a childhood coding education platform, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners and Omidyar Network India.
Founded in 2018, the Mumbai, India-based company will use the money toward offering more one-to-one sessions, according to a statement Tuesday. Course fees start around $65.
The company claims to have done over 50,000 trials and to have 500 online classes a day with over 100 teachers. Nexus Venture Partners has previously invested in Kaltura, Unacademy, Function Space, Quizizz.
