TALK THE TALK: Emmersion Learning, a Lehi, Utah-based startup that offers a language-learning platform for academic and corporate use, has raised $2.4 million in a second round of funding led by seed and early-stage venture firm Imagen Capital Partners.
Emmersion, founded in 2015, will use the money to expand its research and development team and add more language tests, according to a statement. Emmersion has 10 new languages planned for release and customers in 30 countries worldwide.
Language learning continues to attract investment capital. Previous funding rounds for these companies include $22 million for Babbel in 2015 and $5.2 million for Lingo Live in 2017.
