A NEW-ERA FOR MINECRAFT: TeacherGaming, a Finnish startup created by the MinecraftEdu team, has raised $1.6 million in a seed round led by Makers Fund. Brent Hoberman’s Founders Factory also participated in the fundraise.
TeacherGaming is a subscription-based suite of educational games for the classroom, ranging from $150 to $1150 per year depending on class size. The system includes lesson plans and an analytics platform for educators to track student activity and progress.
The company plans to use it’s latest funds to grow sales and marketing efforts, TechCrunch reports.
