Nov 28, 2017

BETTERLESSON: The Boston-based BetterLesson has closed a $10 million Series B funding round led by Owl Ventures to help scale its virtual coaching program aimed at K-12 teachers. The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, New Markets Venture Partners and Reach Capital also contributed to the round.

BetterLesson primarily focuses on 1:1 online professional development, pairing teachers with coaches for sessions about twice a month. It also provides support for new teachers, district coaches and personalized learning implementations and offers pre-created lesson plans and resources.

Currently, the company is working with districts of various sizes and has even partnered with whole states, such as the Tennessee Department of Education.
