​Simulation Job Recruitment Platform Nabs $3.1M in Seed Round

ENTER THE MATRIX: EquitySim, a recruiting platform that uses simulation to help financial firms find talent, has raised $3.1 million in a seed funding round led by University Ventures. 500 FinTech and Investors Peak Ventures also chipped in.

Based in San Francisco, the startup, which faculty and instructors use within their class, tracks user patterns and performance and matches students with potential finance employers. The platform uses online market simulations and games embedded in college courses to gather up to 100,000 data points about a potential candidate.

EquitySim boasts usage at more than 220 colleges and universities around the globe already.
