Wonderschool, a Marketplace for Early Childhood Programs, Raises $2 Million

Jul 3, 2017

WONDERSCHOOL, a San Francisco startup that offers a marketplace for in-home childcare programs, has raised $2 million in a seed round led by First Round Capital. Other investors include Cross Culture Ventures, SoftTech VC, Lerer Ventures, FundersClub, and Edelweiss.

Launched in 2016, Wonderschool’s online platform allows parents to find childcare or preschool programs in their neighborhoods, and also lets credentialed caregivers start and list their own operations. The company currently has more than 50 programs in San Francisco and Los Angeles and looks to expand to 15 new cities, according to VentureBeat, which also reports the company “is in the process of acquiring one of its competitors, Daybear.”
