BRIGHTBYTES, a San Francisco-based education data startup, has acquired Authentica Solutions, which provides a suite of data management and integration services for K-12 and higher-ed institutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Authentica’s flagship product, DataSense, helps collect, clean and migrate data spread across different systems used in a school or district. The deal will help BrightBytes “provide educators with fast, easy, and secure data integration, research-based analysis, and actionable recommendations,” according to the press release. Founded in 2012, BrightBytes aims to help K-12 educators tie technology initiatives to learning outcomes through tools that track financial spending and provide early-warning alerts for student interventions.
