WayUp Secures $18.5M to Develop Jobs Site for College Students

UP, UP AND AWAY: WayUp, an online job marketplace for students and recent graduates, has raised $18.5 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Trinity Ventures with existing investors including General Catalyst, BoxGroup, Lerer-Hippeau Venture, Index Ventures, SV Angel, Female Founders Fund, Axel Springer, CAA Ventures and OurCrowd also participating. The money will be used to further develop the WayUp’s job platform, which allows companies to filter and target student audiences in U.S. colleges.

Founded in Julie 2014, the company claims more than 3.5 million student profiles and has raised a total of $27.5 million in funding to date.
