FAMILY LIFE AND GAMES: It’s a false dichotomy that kids love video games and parents don’t. (We think having an excuse to play is one of the many joys of parenthood!) The Joan Ganz Cooney Center’s latest infographic for its Digital Games and Family Life series, based on a survey of 696 parents, explores the most popular titles they enjoy with their kids. Mario leads the pack besting Minecraft, Lego and, yes, Grand Theft Auto. And understandably, parents who consider themselves gamers are much more likely than non-gamers to engage with their kids during playtime.
