Yammer Co-Founder Raises $4.5 Million to Build ‘New School Operating System’

Apr 1, 2016

ABL SCHOOLS: San Francisco-based Abl (pronounced “able”) Schools has closed a $4.5 million seed round led by Owl Ventures, with Reach Capital and First Round Capital also chipping in. Short for “Always Be Learning,” Abl Schools is attempting to build “a new school operating system” that help administrators understand how to better allocate human resources and teaching staff to meet the needs of students. The company is founded by Adam Pisoni, who also co-founded enterprise social network, Yammer (which, several years ago, was where leaders from blended learning schools congregated).
