MONKEYING AROUND: Degreed, a startup that offers a platform for tracking credentials both in and out of school, has acquired Gibbon, a platform for curating playlists of learning materials from around the internet. The latter's offices in the Netherlands will become Degreed's first satellite office. Gibbon users' playlists will be available for 12 months, albeit in a read-only format, according to the company's press release. The playlist function will appear on Degreed's platform as "Pathways." Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
