Department of Education Launches Makerspace Design Challenge with $200,000 in Prizes

Mar 16, 2016

SCHOOL MAKEOVER: The Department of Education has announced the Career Technical Education Makeover Challenge, a contest for high school students to redesign spaces within their schools as makerspaces. Anyone who enters will have access to master classes, online learning resources and designers during the challenge's "makeover bootcamp." In June, the Department will name as many as 10 schools winners of up to $20,000 each to realize those makerspaces. The first round of submissions is open until April 1, 2016, and the second closes May 22.
