INTERFOLIO has raised a $12 million Series A round of funding, with Quad Venture Partners leading the round. Blu Venture Investors, Blackboard's founder Matthew Pittinsky, NextGen Angels, Middleland Capital and others also invested. Inter folio makes ByCommittee, a human resources platform for faculty in higher education. The Washington, DC-based company plans to use the funding to expand the range of its services. Steve Goldenberg founded Interfolio in 1999.
“With all the investment and innovation that has occurred in education technology, one particular group has been left behind: faculty,” said CEO Andrew Rosen.
